Dress Code

Parents and students will be asked to sign a form agreeing to conform to the school dress code.

On-campus students wear the school uniform. There are several reasons for this policy:

It is required in order that proper emphasis be placed on the character traits of modesty, personal neatness, and cleanliness.

The uniform dispenses with competition due to outward appearance and affluence, thus further emphasizing the development of the inner person and recognition based on character qualities rather than mere outward show.

It also helps parents economically since it does away with the need to purchase fashionable clothing for their children.

It gives students a distinctive appearance which helps develop and reflect a worthy self-image, enhance school spirit, and encourage good behavior.

The uniform is to be treated – and worn – with respect.

FCA Uniform - Students may wear dress pants, dress short, dress Capri pants, skirts, or skorts, in navy blue or khaki. Dress pants, shorts, and Capri indicate that the clothing does NOT have cargo pockets, printing or designs. Skirt, shorts and skort length must go to the top of the knee or longer. These items are readily available at many of your families favorite clothing stores.

FCA logoed polo dress shirts in colors red, white and navy or white, oxford shirts white are available in the FCA Bookstore. Shirts are available in both short and long sleeve.

PE uniform consist of navy shorts or sweats with an FCA school logoed t-shirt and white sneakers.

Fieldtrips attire is an FCA logoed t-shirt with pants, jeans, Capris pants and shorts (top of the knee length)

Students must wear clothing of appropriate size. Pants, shorts, Capri pants, skorts or skirts must fit at the waist and must not sag.

Students are not to wear any garment that hides the uniform. Students are not to wear over-garments (ie. Jackets, hoodies, etc.) that hide the uniform or cover the head. The only over –garments permitted are the school uniform approved jackets and sweatshirts offered by FCA.

Jewlery: For girls, ornamentation, and make-up are to be minimal. (ie. one pair of earrings, no necklaces, no bracelets soft color make-up and finger nail polish). These are to be worn so as not to distract from the neatness and modesty of the uniform. Boys: No jewelry is to be worn to school with the exception of a watch and/or ring. Body piercing jewelry is strictly forbidden to be worn by either boys or girls.

Hair: Students are not to wear unnatural hair color or unusual hair styles. The main idea is for students to be well-groomed. The dress code will be subject to the discretion of both the teacher and the school administrator.
