Family Christian Academy was established in 1992 as a service to those families who want to home school, yet still desire the teaching and support of a certified, private school.

In 2000,  Alpha Omega Publications introduced the Switched-On Schoolhouse multimedia curriculum, and the Family Christian Academy On-Line was created to allow students the support of an Academy, and the educational power of the Switched-On Schoolhouse.
