APOLOGIA Science Courses

New at FCA!

An exciting, new, easy to use, enjoyable Science curriculum developed especially for the home school family. Don't be intimidated by middle school or high school science any longer! These 7th-12th grade courses were designed especially for the home school family. They were written by a former university professor and include integrated experiments that can be done at home.

7th to 8th Grade Level Science Curriculum

General Science
This course is designed to be a systematic introduction to science, and is recommended for 7th to 8th grade students, but can be used for advanced 6th graders. (see below)

Physical Science
This course is generally taken before high school biology. It is recommended as an 8th or 9th grade course. (see below)

High School Level Science Curriculum

Exploring Creation With Biology
This course is designed to be a first-year high school science course. Typically, it's recommended that the student take this course during the same year that he or she is taking Algebra I. The text for the course is written in conversational style, making it easy to read and understand. It contains student exercises (with detailed solutions), experiments designed to be done in the home, and tests (with detailed solutions). The course is taught wholly from a Creationist viewpoint, with emphasis on the incredible design features apparent throughout God's Creation. It's great for a student that does not own a microscope, as microscopic videos are included. (see below)

Exploring Creation With Chemistry
This course is designed to be a first-year high school chemistry course and gives the student a rigorous foundation in chemistry, in order to prepare him for a college-level course. Student should have completed Algebra I prior to taking this course. This course will very well prepare a student for a tough university chemistry course. (see below)

Exploring Creation With Physics
We recommend that the student take chemistry before physics. Physics is the toughest science, so the student should have plenty of science experience before trying to tackle it. (not shown below)

Advanced Chemistry in Creation
This course is designed to be second high school chemistry course that a student takes, In order to take this course, the student must already have had one year of high school chemistry. When added to that first-year course, this course "fills in the gaps", giving the student the equivalent of a first-year college chemistry course. In addition to a first year of chemistry, the student needs to have completed Algebra 2. (see below)

Apologia Exploring Creation With General Science

APOLOGIA 7th and 8th Grade Science Courses

Physical Science
Discusses the following topics: atmosphere, hydrosphere, weather, structure of the earth, environmentalism, physics of motion, Newton's Law, gravity, and astrophysics. There are many hands-on experiments which all use household chemicals and supplies. It is an excellent course for preparing the student to take a college-prep high school science curriculum.

General Science
Covers the following topics in broad terms: the scientific method, designing experiments, simple machines, archaeology, geology, paleontology, biology, human anatomy, and human physiology. This course is not intended to be a focused study of these topics but rather a course to introduce students to these topics and to the organized study of science. The 2-book course comes complete with hardbound book, tests, solutions and test manuals, and teacher's edition.
